John G. Abbott
John joined the Board of Directors to support an expansion of the quality work of CMHA-NL Division throughout the province. John looks forward to actively participating in the implementation of the Division's new strategic plan to support improvement in the mental health and well being of the people of the province. John has an extensive public policy and administration professional background. Currently, John is Chief Executive Officer of the Health Council of Canada, based in Toronto, Ontario.

Jeff Kelland
At 50 years of age, Jeff Kelland is working on a Master's of Science in Community Health in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University, researching the level of mental health and illness research funding in Canada, and will add this credential to his honours 1st class B.A. and Diploma in Applied Mental Health Ethics. Jeff also brings a wealth of past professional and personal experience with mental illness to his seat on the board, and he has been a freelance writer and professional entertainer in St. John's for more than 30 years.
Frankie O'Neill
Frankie is a person with lived-experience of mental illness. She has been actively involved with CMHA-NL since the early eighties in a variety of capacities, culminating with her present role as president and chair of the division board. Frankie is also on the Service Systems Advisory Committee and the Consumer Council of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Her special interest is the promotion of services, especially for older citizens.
Nadia Power
Calvin Barrett
Calvin has been a police officer in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for more than 27 years. He is presently overseeing policing operations in the Corner Brook and Labrador West Regions. Calvin's key drivers for joining the Board of Directors of CMHA-NL are the need for improved mental health care, to advocate for minimal involvement of police with mental health care, and to support and encourage good mental health in the workplace.
